History
Patriot Way, by the old ferry road.
The Villas at Peppers Ferry is a community of townhomes and condos north of downtown. Town water mains were laid for it in the town’s 2004 to 2005 fiscal year and for its second phase in 2006 to 2007, and its homes went up from 2004 to 2011. Its streets, Patriot Way, Revolution Circle and Washington Avenue, take a Revolutionary turn.
It takes its name from Peppers Ferry Road, Route 114, named for the ferry crossing Samuel Pepper set up in the 1770s, which opened a route between the frontier and the east.
In 2010, when the Huckleberry Trail was extended from the mall to the north side of Route 114, the Town Council thanked the Villas among the contributors to the extension.
