Blacksburg and Virginia Tech are next door to the north. Read the history of Christiansburg, from the 1792 town plan to today.

Cars are taxed twice in town: the county's $2.55 per $100 of assessed value plus the Town's $0.45, and a $32 Town motor vehicle license fee per car or truck appears on the personal property bill.
