Reagan’s Pointe was approved as a planned housing development on farmland beside Interstate 81, off Glade and Curtis drives. When the Town’s planning commission recommended rezoning 13.071 acres there from agricultural to residential in 2017, for up to 60 houses, it discussed a sound wall between the homes and the interstate and a buffer along the existing homes on Glade and Curtis drives.
In 2020 the developer, Golden Triangle Development, LLC, asked the Town to rezone two more acres next to the subdivision and amend its plan to allow nine more houses. The first homes on record here were built in 2019.
