History
Townhomes by the drive-in.
Cornerstone Townhomes went up in the 2000s; water mains for its second phase were laid in the town’s 2002 to 2003 fiscal year. The county’s parcel records call it Cornerstone Townhouses.
The Starlite Drive-In, about a fifth of a mile south, opened in 1953 and, by the Town’s account, still runs as one of the few drive-in theaters left in the country. The state’s 1934 marker for Christiansburg, recalling the town’s first name, Hans Meadows, is about half a mile west on Roanoke Street.
