History
Townhomes between the trail and the park.
Henley Place is a community of townhomes and condos built in at least three phases; its homes on record go back to 1984, and sewer lines for its third phase were laid in the town’s 2005 to 2006 fiscal year.
Two of the town’s newer public places are close by. The Recreation Center, opened in 1997 on North Franklin Street, is about half a mile east. In 2013 the Town paid $2.5 million for 63 acres of farmland off Peppers Ferry Road, broke ground on a park there in 2021, and opened it in 2023 as Christiansburg Huckleberry Park, with turf fields, a splash pad, a playground and dog parks. The park is about half a mile northwest.
