Town Council approved a conditional use permit on June 13, 2023, 6-0, for The Verge Apartments, a planned housing development of 209 apartments on about 18.77 acres at the end of Farmview Road NE, zoned General Business (B-3). On March 12, 2024 Council approved, 6-0, an amendment that lowered the count to 206 apartments and changed the layout on about 18.82 acres. The site plan was submitted in April 2024 and last listed as resubmitted in March 2025; the Town's Plans in Review page lists no approval through June 2026.

The applicant was Denstock LLC; the property owner was RWW 36 LLC. At the May 23, 2023 hearing the applicant's engineer described one-, two- and three-bedroom units, a rebuild of Farmview Road NE as a full street with curb, gutter and sidewalk, meeting National Green Building Standards and up to 10 electric vehicle charging stations, and said a traffic study found no added turn lanes or signal changes were needed at Farmview Road and North Franklin Street. In 2024 the engineer said the amendment came from construction challenges found during site design: three fewer units, a new parking layout and the clubhouse split into three buildings around the pool. Council also approved vacating the east end of the Farmview Road NE right-of-way in 2023 (0.169 acre) and 2024 (0.047 acre). The site is designated Mixed Use with Buffer (Residential/Business) on the 2013 Future Land Use Map.
