History

Kelseywood was built in phases on the east end of town. Water mains for its first phase were laid in the town’s 2003 to 2004 fiscal year and for its second in 2005 to 2006, and its houses on record have gone up from 2004 into the 2020s.
The town’s John Lemley Park is about a tenth of a mile southwest, and Wayside Park, at the top of Christiansburg Mountain, about a third of a mile northeast. By the Town’s account, the top of the mountain came into the town limits with the annexation of 1988.
