Summitridge Road SW single-family homes
On March 11, 2025 Town Council rezoned 17.7 acres at the end of Summitridge Road SW, beside I-81, from Agricultural to Single-Family Residential (R-1), 5-0, and approved a boundary adjustment bringing a 1.084-acre county parcel into the town. The same night a separate conditional use permit for a planned housing development of up to 60 single-family units failed 0-5. In February 2026 the applicant's engineer told Council that construction plans were being prepared for the previously approved Summit Ridge project.

The county parcel was designated Urban Expansion on the 2025 Montgomery County Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Policy Map. Lot count after the denied planned housing development permit is not stated in the posted records. The Wyatt Farms Phase I plans are for Summitridge Road SW; county parcel records show the only large parcel there is Parcel ID 160134 (570 Summitridge Road SW, 17.7 acres, zoned R-1), the land rezoned in March 2025.
